Privacy policy

Last updated: April 16, 2026

PrecambriaNet, LLC ("PrecambriaNet," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit precambria.net or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. Plain language first; detail underneath.

The short version

  • We only collect what you give us (a contact form submission) plus the minimum technical data needed to run the site.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
  • We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.
  • We use a small number of service providers (like AWS) to host the site and deliver email. They process data on our behalf only.
  • You can ask us to delete your information at any time — overlord@precambria.net.

Information we collect

1. Information you give us

When you submit our contact form, we collect the fields you fill in, which may include:

  • Name and email address
  • Company or organization and your role (optional)
  • Project details: type, stage, target platforms, ideal timeline, budget range, and the description you provide
  • How you heard about us (optional)

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log basic technical information for security and operations purposes:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version, device type, operating system
  • Pages visited, referring URL, and timestamps
  • Request metadata associated with API calls (for example, when you submit the contact form)

We do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral profiling tools on this site.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

precambria.net does not set tracking or advertising cookies. The contact form may load a spam-prevention service (hCaptcha), which uses its own cookies and request data to detect automated abuse. See hCaptcha's privacy policy for details.

4. Client portal

If you have been invited to our client portal (hosted at answers.precambria.net and powered by OpenProject), additional information is collected as part of that workspace — for example, your login credentials, the project records you interact with, and any files or comments you upload. That information is used solely to operate the engagement you have with us.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and follow up about a potential engagement
  • Deliver work and communicate with you during an active engagement
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site
  • Detect and prevent spam, abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.

How we share your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes.

We do rely on a small number of service providers ("processors") to operate the site. These providers act on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting, content delivery, contact-form processing, database storage, and transactional email (Amazon SES).
  • hCaptcha — spam prevention on the contact form.
  • Google Fonts — web fonts served from Google's CDN when you load a page.

We may also disclose information when required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena or court order), or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PrecambriaNet, our clients, or the public.

If PrecambriaNet is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before any such transfer results in a material change to this policy.

How long we keep your information

We keep contact-form submissions for as long as the inquiry remains relevant to a potential or active engagement. We periodically remove old submissions that did not lead to an engagement. Operational and security logs are retained for a limited period as required by our infrastructure providers.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details below.

How we protect your information

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest within our cloud infrastructure, restricted access controls, and routine maintenance of our systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take security seriously and treat your data with the same care we treat our own.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request a copy of that information
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain uses of your information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at overlord@precambria.net. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where required by law, within the timeframes set by the applicable regulation.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

EU and UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

We process your information based on (a) your consent when you submit the contact form, (b) the legitimate interest of operating and securing our site, and (c) compliance with our legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have processed your information unlawfully.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

International transfers

PrecambriaNet is based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to third-party websites that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
